About the event
Centering Prayer matters — it’s more than just a comforting practice we do in order to feel better about our relationship with God. Thomas Keating taught that the faithful practice of Centering Prayer leads to deep healing in our hearts and souls, thanks to the presence and action of the Spirit within us. It’s helpful to remember this promise of Centering Prayer (and contemplative spirituality in general) especially as we seek to navigate what it means to consent to the action of the Spirit during difficult or challenging times.
Dare we believe that the promise of Centering Prayer is not only for inner healing, but to contribute to the healing of our families, communities, and even society as a whole?
During this retreat day we will explore why and how it makes sense to answer that question with a confident “Yes”!
