Support Our Mission
Contemplative Outreach Atlanta is a non-profit chapter of our international organization founded over three decades ago. Our mission is to embrace the process of transformation in Christ as we teach, support, and spread the method of Centering Prayer to those living ordinary lives on the spiritual journey.

Our mission supports over 30 Centering Prayer groups in the Atlanta and northern Georgia area. All of our work is provided by volunteers who generously donate their time and talent.
Thomas Keating wrote “…it is the nature of divine love to give, to pour itself out, to surrender, and to do so for no other reason than because it is what it is—sheer gift. We too must love not in order to become something, but because we are called to be stewards of divine love; to be identified with it and to be channels for this immense energy, till the world is transformed by Christ and he is all in all.” (Awakenings)
We invite you to consider the gifts you have received and how you might benefit others with them. Your donation will help transform lives.

Participants at our events have commented:
"This was my first experience with the contemplative outreach community. It was a great time to "step aside for awhile" to have a group centering prayer experience. Thank You!"
"The energy of centering with this group is simply that of love!"
"This was the best yet. The theme of forgiveness was just what I needed and all the scriptures, chant, 20 minute sits, meditations and guided prayer at the end worked perfectly together for a very meaningful experience. Thank you!"
"A truly wonderful contemplative experience. Extremely well presented."
"The energy created and sent when we sit together in heart, mind and spirit even or maybe especially when geographically distant, feels like a giant step into God’s kingdom. I am so very grateful to all."
